I’m going to twist this a little bit by asking this simple question.
Who is your competition? Answer: You are the competition.
When you break everything down the nuts and bolts, it’s not about the people around you, It’s all about competing with yourself in order to be better at everything you do.
If you really want to shine and stand out you need to look inward, not outward. The energy you spend looking at the people around you should be used on you. By investing in you – you become a force that others will admire and respect.
Here’s the recipe:
One part: self-awareness
One part: challenge yourself
One part: focus on your target
*This is a simple way to improve yourself and not worry about the so-called competition. Most people look outward at their surroundings. My tip is to remind you that you can beat the so-called competition by improving your world everyday. Change your mindset and you’ll be amazed at how light your world will continue to feel.
It’s simple. It requires less energy than you might think. By the way, let the other guys waste time worrying about you.
This is this bartender’s recipe for improving your life. Giving back is what this is about. Try it out and let me know how it goes. If you find this recipe helpful – pass it on and help others beat their competition, too.
